Great bass, just a bit outdated Dec 03, 2010
By BassistMikeyHouston I got this bass for an amazing price when they had 2 left, and comparing it to how much it cost elsewhere, I thought I was getting a major steal. Once it arrived, I found out it went through quality control back in Nov. of 2006. Now at the price it is not worth returning, but it is something to keep in mind when purchasing that it may not be the newest model. The bass in the picture has a single part bridge, new models have a two part bridge. Also new bass's only have the W on the headstock, the old basses say Rockbass by Warwick (for new basses the Rockbass logo is elsewhere on the neck).
The new Basic models do not have active pickups, they cost a little extra. I did find the new bass with active pickups for 75 dollars more than what I paid here, but I don't think that is worth 75 more for a two part bass and the "just-a-nut 3" neck rather than "just-a-nut 2". I also heard that the radius of the neck on the newer basses is slimmer though.
Overall RockBasses are amazing basses for those like me who can't afford a 1K+ bass. I'm glad I bought it, just would have preferred getting the newest model, but then again, you get what you pay for, and even a 4 year old bass was a steal at the markdown :-)

Thumbs up so far - NOTE juiceless battery inside Mar 04, 2010
By Chandler Neal I got this when it was a goldbox deal for 330.
It's a light bass, and has been easy to play.
Assuming you plan to get an amp, make sure you have a 9V battery to use.
I was shortly panicked last night when I couldn't get sound from the bass through the amp.
Turns out that the 9V that ships installed in the bass is a 0% 'placeholder'.

By Freen This is a really awesome bass guitar. Warwicks sound so nice. I just couldn't believe i got it for under 300. man what a great deal. Just make sure you have an 9V with you. The one with it does not work well. Note to everyone if you like to shake walls get this guitar.
