5Power and tone  Dec 29, 2010 By A Catherder
This has better tone than my 500 watt Hartke.
The 2 button foot switch is hooked to useful effects.
I like the Ultrabass set below about 2, and leave it off most of the time. The Shape sounds good on about 5.
I skip the bright and deep, they add more noise than good tone.
Set the gain on 6 for my Fender Jazz with S1 button. The guitars tone controls seem more versatile than with my old amp.
I set output on 2 for practice with lots of punch. Set it on 3 if you want to blow cats across the room, it can play gigs with room to spare. I have it hooked to a Hartke 15VX and an Avatar 2 x 12. The DI out sounds pretty lifeless compared to a mic in front of the speaker for recording and PA. This is a great sounding, high powered amp.

5Nice!!  Nov 16, 2010 By James E
Love this bass head. Very powerful with a wide range of customization. Very durable build and love the throwback needle on the display. Use it with a Peavey410 cab and only turn it up about 10-15% of volume for a pretty bad-A thump. Could probably handle another 410 cab or a 215 with no problem. Just don't need that much for our blues trio. But great buy!!

4awesome little amp!  Mar 22, 2011 By Foster O. Reed Jr. "speedcrank"
had mine for about 5 years now. don't gig with it but practice plenty, and has never let me down. has generous tone-shaping tools and deep, powerful bass with power to spare. only option i don't use much is the ultrabass feature, which adds an octave deeper than you're playing. it kinda farts off and on if you put any kind of volume on it, ok for something kind of low-volume and 'jazzy'. all in all, a very versatile, toneful, reliable, and powerful amp. i've heard many other way more expensive (a couple i own) amps that can't match this one. behringer did their homework on this baby! do yourself a favor and spend way less money and get a superior amp!

5Old Fart  Feb 24, 2011 By D. Aanenson "Free American"
I was very happy with the way this beast works. With my 410 cab. from Seismic Audio it will shake the paint off the walls and break windows.

5Total Awesomeness  Nov 01, 2010 By J. Whiteside
Buy this with the cabinet that is recommended and you will be good to go for inside or external events. It delivers a clean and clear sound that is quite impressive for the price.
