very nice for what it is, great value Aug 22, 2009
By Nikwax I play a 76 PBass, and had a Peavey TKO amp which was just too big and heavy for practice. Gave it to a friend and thought I'd try an actual practice amp. I shopped around and looked at offerings from Peavey, Orange, Pig Nose, and Behringer. I like the features on the Behringer, the sound is surprisingly good, and the various inputs and outputs are very useful ( line in and out for iPod, metronome, recording; headphone jack). Also like the old school looks. It's a practice amp, decent volume with passive pickups, rugged construction. Nothing looks like it's an obvious point of failure...I wanted an old style toggle on/off switch, but realize that would likely get broken in transport, so the modern rocker style switch makes sense.
For the money, this is a very impressive piece of gear. The sound quality, rugged construction, and feature set are hard to beat at even twice the price.

Nice little amp for practicing & home recording Sep 24, 2009
By Rick H This little amp has very good sound and is great for both bass & electric guitar. And if you have a good effects box with your electric guitar, it's even more fun. The volume probably isn't going to disturb anyone unless you turn it up too high and they're in the next room sleeping. I did detect some slight distortion when I was playing the E string on my bass but I think I may have had the mid-range control set too high, otherwise I've not had any problem with this pint-sized amp. I like it for practicing and I like it even more for home demos. I laid down some tracks, a bass track and 3 guitar tracks - all played through this amp - and I very much liked the results on playback. This amp does exactly what I was hoping it would. With the good sound quality and extra features it offers, this is a real nice value and no-brainer purchase for practicing your bass chops and use in your home studio. Also, shipment from Musicians Friend was extremely quick!

Great quality Feb 21, 2011
By GABRIEL CAPPARELLI I learned this amp is made by hand in Germany after I purschased it, and I wasnt suprised, I basically bought it because of the great craftmanship and even great sound quality. Great for home practicing, no regrets.
Good Little practice amp Dec 26, 2011

I've been playing guitar for a while now and decided this fall to take up bass. Since I didn't want to blast the neighbors out of their house before I learned to do too much on it, I understood a practice amp was more appropriate for my needs than anything else. This is not the amp you're looking for if you want to play along with your guitarist and drummer in a crowded bar, and the only negative review I've read should have recognized that before jumping into buying this. This is the amp you and your neighbors will want you to practice on should you decide to pick up a bass, too. It is a sturdy, good sounding and good looking little amp.
